Fragility Forum 2018 at World Bank

From 5th to 7th March 2018, the Regional Coordinator of REPAOC, Chair of the Executive Committee of Civil Society of Platform on Peacebuilduing and Statebuilding (CSPPS) shared a panel with four eminents personnalities at the Event Prevention of Violent conflict - How can bilateral and multilateral actors work better together.Operational perspectives on World Bank-UN report on Pathways for Peace?

This event was hosted by the International Dialogue on Peacebuilding and Statebuilding (IDPS), a platform consisting of international donors and partners engaged in the OECD Network on Conflict and Fragility (INCAF), the g7+ group of fragile states and the Civil Society Platform for Peacebuilding and Statebuilding (CSPPS). The International Dialogue is a determined multi-stakeholder partnership and forum that can look back on 10 years of awareness raising, advocacy and monitoring of the agenda for peacebuilding and statebuilding. The Dialogue supports country efforts to make commitments and prioritize investments in inclusive political processes, justice, security, building economic foundations to sustain peace and service delivery. The New Deal, Sustainable Development Goal 16 (SDG) and related Goals are core to its mandate.

1- HE Deqa Yasin Hagi Yusuf, Minister of Women anf Human Rights (Somalia)
2- Ambassador Joran Bjällerstedth, INCAF Representative (Sweden)
3- Mme Teresa Whitfield, Mediation Division - UN
4- Franck Bousquet, Senior Director Fragility, Conflict and Violence

The inclusive approaches must continued based on women and youth groups. The Civil Society has a good tool for its own effectiveness (Istanbul Principles). The Social Contract can contribute to the prevention of conflict.
